Chicken Road free play: guide to the demo

Get to know the four levels, the lanes and the cash-out button before a single pound is involved.

Official InOut Games demo. Play credits only, no withdrawals, adults only.

InOut Games supplies this demo itself, so the road, the levels and the rules are the ones you would meet at a casino. Only the balance differs: it is made of play credits that cannot be topped up or withdrawn. If you run out, reload the page and start again.

How a round works

The hen starts on the pavement. Each tap moves her across one lane and raises the multiplier. If she is caught, the stake goes; if you cash out first, you receive the stake times the multiplier. Easy has 24 lanes, Medium 22, Hard 20 and Hardcore 15. The very first step is worth 1.03x on Easy and 1.63x on Hardcore.

Free play versus real money

The game is identical, but at a casino the operator sets the stake range and the maximum win, and those can differ from the demo. The version we tested allowed 0.01 to 150 a round with a 10,000 cap, all in play credits. The demo shows a dollar sign; that is simply the play currency.

Devices and privacy

Nothing is fetched from InOut until you press start. The demo runs in any up-to-date browser, and on a phone it switches to portrait with the controls at the bottom.

Your first session, step by step

  1. Start free playPress the button on the preview image. After loading, you will see the road and your play-credit balance.
  2. Set a stakeUse MIN, MAX or the quick amounts to choose a small stake, and leave it alone for the first few rounds.
  3. Choose a levelEasy or Medium is the best place to start, because you can watch the multiplier build lane by lane.
  4. Step outPress Play and tap once for every lane. On a computer the space bar can do the same job.
  5. Cash outTake the win as soon as you reach the lane you picked in advance, even when it feels too early.

A practice routine for 100 rounds

Give your free play a structure and it becomes far more useful:

  • Rounds 1–50: Medium, flat stake, always cash out after the third lane. Note how often you make it.
  • Rounds 51–100: Hard, same stake, cash out after the second lane. Compare how the balance behaves.
  • Ten extra rounds: Hardcore with an exit after the very first lane, just to see how often even that fails.
  • Look back: if the difference between levels surprises you, the exercise has done its job.

No pattern reveals when the hen will be caught, and play credits tend to make people bolder than real money would.

Chicken Road questions

Is this the official Chicken Road demo?

Yes, it loads straight from InOut Games. Nothing is downloaded and you do not enter any personal details.

Do I need an account for free play?

No. The demo opens without registration, an email address or a deposit.

Does Chicken Road free play work on my phone?

It does: open it in Chrome, Safari or any other mobile browser. On a small screen the road turns to portrait.

Can I win real money in free play?

No. The balance is play credits and cannot be withdrawn or moved into a casino account.

Which level should a beginner choose?

Start on Easy or Medium. The steps are small enough to follow how the multiplier grows before you try the riskier levels.

Prefer a real-money round?

Real money only where it is legal for you, with a fixed budget and if you are 18 or over. Free play stays free.
